PRACTICE OF LAW:  Mobile County Assistant District Attorney, 1978 – 1979; Assistant Attorney General, 1979 – 1985; City prosecutor for Mobile and Satsuma, and private practice from 1985 – 1995; Assistant District Attorney, 1995

MILITARY:  27 years of service in the U.S. Navy Reserve, first as enlisted and currently an officer of rank Commander; served aboard guided-missile frigate USS TALBOT, aircraft carrier USS SARATOGA, cruiser USS MOBILE BAY, and at Pearl Harbor Naval Station.

JUDICIAL:  Appointed District Court Judge in May, 2003; subsequently elected to a full term in November, 2004; selected to a two year term as Presiding Judge of the District Court in 2005; attended National Judicial College in 2007; selected by the Alabama State Senate in May, 2008 to serve on the Judicial Inquiry Commission.

COMMUNITY:

• Ashland Place United Methodist Church – member, Sunday School teacher, User Captain, Administrative Board member;
• Prichard Boys & Girls Club, advisor;
• Habitat for Humanity volunteer
